An odyssey through Hell becomes a journey of self-compassion and forgivenes.
A woman’s odyssey through Hell is more than a living nightmare. It’s an unexpected journey toward self-compassion and forgiveness.
Nine Circles is a modern story set in the dark underworld that Dante Alighieri immortalized in Inferno, the first part of his epic poem The Divine Comedy.
After Sydney burns her life to the ground in an epic social freefall, she dies and finds herself in the Vestibule of Dante’s Hell. A child offers to guide her through Hell’s nine circles toward freedom. Sydney must trust this child to navigate the politics and perils of the underworld, while a savage warrior relentlessly pursues them. In the shadow of the harm Sydney inflicted on her best friend and others, the descent will pit her against her darkest self. Can she handle her worst fears and deepest regrets? When she loses her guide along with every last bit of hope, how will she stay ahead of the monster who hunts for her? If Sydney makes it through all nine circles, her loved ones will be ready to reach down and pull her into light and love. But freedom will come only when she finds the grace to forgive those who hurt her. And, most importantly, when she comes to forgive herself.
